5K a year This position will provide career planning services to students, organizes career fairs, maintains a database of available open internship opportunities and positions available for students, maintains a line of communication to track student job placement after graduation, and other services as assigned by the Vice President for Workforce Education.
Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree.
Experience in career or academic advising or alumni engagement preferred.
Computer skills required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrates knowledge of career services by being familiar with current hiring needs.
Demonstrates leadership qualities.
Must be computer literate by demonstrating ability to extract student data and records from student information systems.
Experience using MS Office Suite (i.
e.
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
) and Outlook is required.
May require non-compensated overtime during career fairs activities and other assigned duties.
This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee.
Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability.
Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program.
Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
