Job Description:
Our healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Home Health Biller.
The Home Health Biller will be responsible for the timely and accurate submission of claims for home health services to insurance companies and government payers.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing patient charts and ensuring accurate and timely billing of services rendered Verifying insurance eligibility for patients and obtaining prior authorizations when necessary Monitoring aging reports and working with payers to resolve any claim issues Reconciling accounts and resolving billing discrepancies with payers and patients Developing and implementing strategies to maximize collections and minimize denials Preparing and analyzing financial reports related to billing and collections Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes and ensure accurate and efficient billing practices Staying up to date with changes in billing regulations and coding requirements Assisting in the billing process for traditional Medicare and Medicaid programs Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred At least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and collections, preferably in home health services Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other government payer requirements and regulations Experience with electronic health record and billing software, specifically in the home healthcare industry Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills We offer a competitive pay and benefits package.
